In the beloved Amsterdam Oud-Zuid district stands a characteristic townhouse that has undergone an impressive transformation in recent years. A home has been created where classic Amsterdam elegance meets a modern and refined way of living.
This exceptional project was completed in three carefully planned phases, with the house gradually being renovated and expanded step by step. The first phase focused on the creation of a new upper residence with a spacious rooftop extension, adding both light and living space while preserving the character of the property. The family then moved into the newly completed upper floors, after which the ground floor residence was fully renovated. In the final phase, both sections were seamlessly combined into one harmonious family home.
Although the property does not hold monumental status, it possesses all the charm and character of a classic Amsterdam townhouse. With respect for the original architecture, we created a home in which authenticity and contemporary living comfort exist in perfect balance.
ISVM was responsible for both the architectural and interior architectural interventions, as well as the complete reconfiguration of the layout. Through intelligent spatial solutions, high-quality materials, and a strong focus on livability, a home was created that effortlessly combines openness, tranquility, and functionality.
Rich materials, refined lines, and bespoke detailing create a timeless atmosphere in which warmth and elegance take center stage. Throughout the home, every detail was carefully considered and meticulously crafted, resulting in an interior that feels both sophisticated and deeply personal.
aThe result is a stylish family residence where history, comfort, and contemporary design come together naturally a
modern interpretation of classic living in the heart of Amsterdam Oud-Zuid.
